Back to School Pointe Shoe Bash!

Back to school means tossing out old shoes and making room for new! Ever wonder what you can do with your old pointe shoes? Instead of hiding them away in a box in closet somewhere gathering dust, why not turn them into an art project?
We at Black and Pink did just that, starting our first pointe shoe decorating contest! Posted on our facebook page and tallied by the number of "likes" each received, the winner walked away with a $100 gift card and a shoe of their own creation.

In addition to decorating them, you can put them in a shadow box and mount them on your wall.
If you had enough, you could turn them into ornaments and make a pointe shoe Christmas tree!
